Discover Our Journey So Far

Asaase Pa is a farm service provider in the Western region, working to bridge the capacity gaps in an aging cocoa sector. We identified that the cocoa farming population in Ghana is largely aged and lacked the labour requirements needed to maximize their farmlands, the rippling effect has been yield gaps where farmers harvest lower than the yield capacity of their farmlands. The alternative available to the aged farmers have been to adopt mechanized processes and tools which although useful have been too expensive for our small holder farmers.

Asaase Pa presents a bridge between labour and mechanization, we have a youthful team powered by mechanized tools that we deploy to various smallholder farms to service and maintain these farms.
In recognition of the financial constraints faced by the small holder farmers, we offer our services on credit and structure a conducive payment plan that aligns with peak harvest periods. In structuring our repayments, we are minded not to affect the livelihood of the farmer and as such ensure that the farmer at all times has a fair portion of his harvest proceeds. We are commercially driven but socially motivated.

We hope to expand our coverage and reach, so as to serve more farmers, continue bridging the cocoa yield gaps and increase our profitability as a company.

We identify that technology and data tools can advance our agenda and we want to invest in them. we want to procure a Pod Breaker Machine and Drone for chemical spraying test in our cocoa farms. We project that this new inclusion should increase our revenues by 20% in 2021

Our History

Our business was started by the training of smallholder farmers on good agronomic practices and cocoa certification for seven (7) years. We realized that more than 60 % of cocoa farmers are more than 60 years old and are unable to manage their farms well. We therefore made it a mandate to provide a holistic farm management service to these farmers in order to aid them maximize their yields.

Over the past few years we have transformed from a focused farm management business model into an artisanal value addition brand. Our philosophy of “Husk to Bar” is something we are passionate about and have come to embrace at Asaase Pa Food Systems Limited. This is because we are committed to excellent sustainable farm management services. While showcasing the best cocoa management practices we are committed to supporting local and international cocoa management practices and chocolate processing standards as well as embracing Fair Trade, sustainability with a holistic and integrated approach to chocolate processing with zero tolerance to waste along our value chain

Our Story

Driven by Passion

Our purpose is to improve cocoa farmer’s livelihoods with our farm management services scheme and at the same time having a vertically integrated approach to artisanal chocolate processing to help build the local economy in which we find ourselves. Our “Husk to bar” philosophy also reflects our zero tolerance to waste and this is captured in our cocoa waste management strategy of processing the cocoa husk into bio-char and organic cocoa potash.

At Asaase Pa Food Systems Limited, our innovations are driven by sustainability measures to meet international standards. This is done by sourcing the most sophisticated equipment’s with minimum carbon emissions into the atmosphere, or non roasted processed chocolates and our bio-char organic potash projects which seeks to process cocoa husk into bio-char and organic potash as an environmental cleansing mechanism and reducing carbon foot print.

Our strategic innovative measures include the sourcing of environmentally friendly equipment’s for our farm management services, the production of bio-char, organic potash and the processing of non-roasted chocolate with the most sophisticated and mobile processing equipment’s.
